Privacy Policy

KBSD — K-Beauty Spot Deals is operated by MayTraders Inc. (Room 403, 4F, 10 Ogeum-ro 11-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea; business registration no. 385-81-04167). This page explains what we collect and why. Questions or requests: gerald@maytraders.com.

Browsing

You can view every lot without an account. We record anonymous, aggregated view counts per lot (from a random per-browser id, never linked to your identity) and your approximate country as reported by our CDN. We use Google Analytics on the public pages (not on the staff console) — it sets its own _ga cookies and receives your IP and page views; see Google’s privacy terms. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with a browser extension.

Cookies

We set small first-party cookies to run the site: a view-counting id, a security (CSRF) token, and — only if you sign in — your session. None of these track you across other sites. Google Analytics sets the _ga cookies described above.

Inquiries

When you send an inquiry we collect the name, email, company, country, message and optional WhatsApp number you enter, plus which lot it is about. We use this only to reply and to keep a record of the enquiry, and MayTraders receives it by email (sent through Amazon SES). An inquiry does not add you to any marketing list. We keep inquiry records for as long as we may need them for our dealings with you and delete them on request.

Deal-alert emails

The deal-alert list is opt-in and separate from everything else. We store your email, any brand / category preferences you choose, the date and wording-version of your consent, your confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps, where you signed up from, and a per-message log of which alerts were sent to you. You must confirm your address by email before we send anything, and MayTraders is notified when you confirm. Every deal email carries a “Manage preferences” link and a one-click unsubscribe link (both need no login); you can also email us to be removed. We do not sell or share the list.

Buyer / partner accounts

If you create an account we store your name, company, country, email, optional phone and a hashed password, used to sign you in and to let MayTraders contact you about your inquiries. MayTraders is notified by email when a new account is created. Email us to close an account and delete its data.

Who we share with

We use service providers to run KBSD on our behalf: JustDeploy (hosting, database and file storage), Amazon SES (sending email) and Google (Analytics). We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law. Other buyers never see your identity, and buyers cannot contact each other.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it, by emailing gerald@maytraders.com. Depending on where you live you may also have statutory rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability.
